Your Birmingham Zoo is your partner in education for schools, educators, and career specialists delivering in-person or virtual educational programs and experiences that meet Alabama State Standards for Science and NGSS for all ages and grades in our 122-acre classroom. Your Zoo’s Educators provide hands-on learning in a truly unique setting with 550 animals representing 185 species, including many endangered species.

The Birmingham Zoo offers many programs for students K-12. In-person, virtual, and Zoo to You options are available. Check out the Program Guide for descriptions, pricing, and more. To register for an in-person program while visiting the Zoo, please let us know which program you would like while completing the Groups Reservation form.
